Barbara Stokes Huntsville AL and GSH Provide $100,000 in Home Building Supplies to Habitat for Humanity, a Non-Profit The Company Supports

Habitat for Humanity has been working hard in Madison Country, Alabama to help do their part to close the gap in the need for basic housing in the area. The county has a good deal of residents that live below the poverty line, many so much that they find themselves without basic housing and goods that many people take for granted. Currently, more than 40% of people that live in Madison Country, Alabama have a household income of less than $48,000 each year. Additionally, many residents are paying more than half of their annual income solely to find housing for themselves and their families. It must be said that these people are truly struggling to gain access to basic things like housing that most of us take for granted.

Habitat for Humanity has built a stunning volume of houses within Madison Country. The non-profit has built more than 200 homes to date within the area. Habitat for Humanity is truly a valued contributor to those in need in the area. The non-profit recently received a major, unexpected donation from Green Structure Home of Alabama under the direction of founder, Barbara Stokes. Green Structure Homes of Alabama, also known as GSH of Alabama, just announced a donation of $100,000 in building supplies to the incredible non-profit.

Aside from the actual building of homes, Habitat for Humanity also works to create general awareness in the community that there is a need, giving people who are more fortunate an opportunity to help where they can. This awareness moved Barbara Stokes to get the ball rolling to get the incredible $100,000 donation. GSH of Alabama says they are proud to be in a position to contribute to such a worthy cause.

Among the $100,000 worth of building supplies donated were more than 1,000 sheets of state-of-the-art drywall, close to 100,000 square feet of linoleum and pricey Hardie Fascia. These items will all go directly to build homes for those who are most in need.
