Keeping Your Home Clean During Quarantine

COVID-19, or the coronavirus, has begun to make its way around the world. With nearly every country on some form of lock down, people are staying home a lot more. With more time spent at home, it’s not surprising that it gets dirty much quicker even if you’re living by yourself. There aren’t as many, if any, visitors that you need to impress, and as a result there’s a lot less motivation to clean. For those of you with kids, it escalates from there. We all know that having kids cooped up inside of a house for any amount of time can already lead to disaster. But being on lock down for this long? Throwing tantrums, not picking up after they play with toys or read books, spilling food, it all seems to get just that much worse during quarantine. Needless to say, it can be hard to stay on top of things. Here are some different tips on how you can keep your home clean during quarantine.

Home Cleaners

I know, the first thing on this list kinda goes against the whole quarantine thing. But when the only job of the people is to clean, and sanitize, it gets a pass in my eyes. Even during quarantine, you have things you need to do. Life can even seem to get more overwhelming in the midst of everything for some people. If that happens to be you, hiring home cleaners might just be the right option for you. Whether you’re in your office doing work, or out for a little while, coming back to a nice, clean house, without having to worry about it yourself, can be one of the most relieving feelings you can have.

Make A Schedule

Now that most if not all of your time is spent at home, it’s time to plan out your days. Get a whiteboard or a piece of paper, and write down everything you’re going to do today. Kind of like a to-do list. Now, assign everything a time. You can make it as exact or rough as you want, just make sure you have the idea and that it’s strict enough for you. Not everyone follows schedules the same way, so if an hour to hour schedule is too tight for you, try taking it down a notch.

Clean Up After Every Activity

When it comes to keeping the house clean, this is probably the item on this list that should be followed whether in quarantine or not. When the house gets dirty over time, it’s easier to handle when you wait until the end of the day, or until you have a day off to do house cleaning, it just becomes more of a project. But with your home getting dirty so fast, it can become unbearable to leave it alone for too long. Cleaning up after everything you do makes life so much easier, since you clean as you go. When it comes to cleaning days, your biggest project may be vacuuming the floors or dusting the shelves.
