8 Billion People and 8 Billion Differences

There are over 8 billion people on this planet today. Each living their own unique and individual life. This spans across different continents, nations, regions, and households. It’s only when gathered together that these areas of the world amount to such a massive number.

Looking a little closer though, the difference between these areas is massive. Some countries are unimaginably massive, China and India being the only to house 1 billion people. Others are growing at massive rates, Nigeria and Pakistan for example. Others yet are actually declining in size.

While some regions, like sub-saharan Africa, are predicted to double in the near future. Others like Europe have and will continue on a steady decline for years. Simultaneously, Europe holds some of the healthiest nations in the world. While the reverse holds true for the booming sub-saharan Africa.

The world is more united than it’s ever been, but the experience of individuals is still vastly different. Regardless there are some trends that all are predicted to see. Labor shortages, for example, alongside older populations are ever growing. There’s more people than ever but not necessarily enough workers to provide all services needed. Specifically hospitals, pharmaceuticals, these are massively booming industries today.

This is the world of today. One marked by unity in a time where some people live to 80 and others 40. The only difference being the country one is born in. 8 billion people is an unimaginable number, but it doesn’t take away from the value of each person.
