Gift giving is a time-honored gesture of showing your affection or appreciation to others. Whether it be a gift because of the holiday season, wishing someone a happy birthday, or even just giving something to brighten up someone’s day; gifts are a great way to make connections. 

That being said, this practice fits very well in the business world. 

Corporate gifts provide an immediate emotional connection to clients and it makes them feel like they are more than just a number. In a survey, 43% of US respondents said that corporate gifts have to improve their relationship with a company or at least got them to see the company in a different way. 66% of those same responders said that they will most likely remember the name of the company that gave them a gift.

While kind a gesture of gift-giving is, there is an ROI for the companies that will invest money into a gift. The first benefit is that you will retain existing customers because they will feel motivated, encouraged, and valued by your brand. This encouragement leads to the second benefit of boosting word of mouth. Great presents lead to great opinions of your brand both on and offline. Lastly, giving gifts keeps your brand at the forefront of clients’ minds.
