4 Gift Ideas For Your Employees
One of my favorite things about having my own small business is that I can influence the overall company feel. I’ve worked for large companies before that feel quite soulless, and where each individual just felt like a cog in the machine. For that reason I pride myself on ensuring that my employees feel special and valued. One of the ways I like to do that is by giving each employee a special gift for their birthday. There are certain gift ideas that I feel like work across the board, no matter the interests of your employee or where you are. Keep reading to learn about my top 4 gift ideas for your employees.
1. Company Wide Gifts
It could be fun to give a personalized item that’s got the company’s brand or logo on it. For example, you may want to get some bulk items from the best wholesale sunglasses vendor, or a bulk order of t-shirts and have them printed. This can be a great gift idea, especially when someone is moving on from the company so they have a special memento to remind them of their time at the company or it can make up a part of a larger birthday gift.
2. Cash Bonus
Another fun gift you can give is a cash bonus. Extra cash never goes amiss, and can allow your employee to choose something that they really want or need, such as Relationship Therapy Mississauga. If you want to implement a cash bonus as a birthday gift in your company, it can be a good idea to establish how much you will have available to give each employee. As a general rule, I think a cash bonus that’s roughly enough for a two person meal in a mid range restaurant makes for an excellent gift.
3. The Day Off
They say the best gift you can give someone is your time, but what about giving them their own time back? Giving your employees their birthday off can be a great way to ensure that they can relax, or do whatever they would prefer on their special day. They can choose to spend it with friends, family, or just lounging around at home. If your employee is extra tired after completing DMZ, then the day off will be even more appreciated.
4. A Voucher
I’m a big fan of vouchers because it’s a great way to get a gift that they can use however they want later. I personally really enjoy spa and massage vouchers because it’s something I forget to get for myself, but find extremely relaxing. Consider a voucher that you know your employee will use, such as one for a local restaurant, a spa voucher, or maybe even a voucher for Starbucks. No matter your budget, you can find a cool voucher that they’ll love to use.
Showering your employees with gifts on their birthday is a great way to make them feel loved and appreciated. It can help improve how they feel about their company and do a lot for their morale.
