3 Key-Mistakes to Avoid For Real SEO Success

It is known amongst marketing people that SEO as a marketing channel and skill can be quite difficult to master and obtain measurable success with.

In this short yet informative post, we will discuss the main obstacles that usually stand in the way of common folks and what are the most important aspects one should focus on if he wants to secure top rankings and master this thing called – SEO.

As a Digital Marketing mentor and SEO expert over the last 5 years, I’ve faced ups and downs with my ongoing SEO projects for clients and while mentoring companies as part of my SEO Coaching services.

From my own personal experience I can categorize the 3 most common mistakes people usually make as such:

  • Lack of Patience

People find it hard to understand that it takes time to see any movement in Google’s ranking while monitoring their site. you’ve set up your site properly, done your researches, inserted some quality content and even bought some decent links but than… nada, nothing happens. you don’t see any movement or organic traffic coming your way.

Google has its own timing for deciding if your site is worth the top places in your respective business category. it calculates over 200+ factors to determine what exactly you’re trying to accomplish with your site and then compares those factors against thousands of other companies whos basically trying to do the same thing. obviously this process takes time. just like the Philadelphia 76ers, i would recommend trusting to process and keep on working on improving your website as much as possible.

Most people give up after a couple of weeks and lose any faith in SEO. perhaps they are used to the fast pace of modern PPC but as we know people naturally looking for instant gratification. sometimes results in SEO can appear after a couple of months even a full year in some cases, its really varies from different categories and the competitiveness of the niche. always keeps in mind that SEO is sort of like the game of chess;  It is a long-term strategic game.
