To set up the Power BI Shopify integration using Power BI Connector you need to install it to your store first.

This app can be installed from Shopify App Store page (as you see it on the image above). You just need to click Add app button. You will be redirected automatically to the Confirmation page.

Read the details provided there and select Install app. If installation is successful, you will be able to start creating the data sources.

Create a Data Source and Prepare Data for Export

In the Power BI Connector App, select New Data Source to create your first data set for export.

Enter a new data source name and description in the corresponding fields.

Select the preferred option in Schedule automatic data update field, and set up a start time.

Сheck the boxes next to the fields you’d like to export data from. Use the tabs on the left to easily navigate between all fields and tables available for export.

Use filters to narrow the data selection, for example: select products with price less than …USD, orders created at certain date or apply tags … etc).

You will be able to edit this information any time. Finally, click Save to apply changes.
